Dr. Bonnie Kaplan is a research psychologist and Professor in the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Medicine who studies the role of nutrition in mental illness and brain development. Her talk is about historical knowledge relating diet to mental health, as well as current nutritional epidemiology studies showing the association between dietary patterns and mental symptoms. She also reviews some of the climate and environmental problems that threaten the quality of our food supply.
